Look what I got in the mail yesterday!!! What fun quilts they are! And so easy to make, looks like. I can't wait to get started! There are 3-D quilts, too. The very cool thing about this book: not only does Cherri give patterns to the quilts, but she includes photos of what inspired her to make them. She also has quotes from various artists. Love it!
I got Dancing with Thread: Your Guide to Free-Motion Quilting
a few days ago. I've been pouring over it. VERY GOOD book! I highly recommend it, even if you don't want to do the type of sewing she does. You'll learn LOTS!

I also picked up the current copy of this magazine (this isn't the one I have) so I could refresh my skills in the painting department. I can't draw, nor paint free hand. Truly. Yet, for some wierd reason, I can paint from a painting. I think, though, that this magazine might be able to teach me how to paint from ideas in my head. I hope so.I'll let you know how it works out!
