Do you remember the episode I recently had with the thread snarling in my machine? Do you remember that I said I'd gotten the thread where I'd bought my machine? I'll give you only one guess where I got the previous darning foot. They've lost my purchasing business for good. Though, if I need work on my machine, they're the only ones around. Grrrrrrr.
Now that I have a renewed confidence, I've decided that I need to practice on a quilt. A busy quilt that will hide any multitude of sins. I'm going to feather it, echo it, and straight line it. Then I'll probably do another. By the end of two, I think I can say I'll be pretty well on my way to the next stitching pattern. I've decided to start with the Kaleidoscope I started a couple months ago. I've been piecing like a fool today to finish the blocks (since Vince decided I needed to make it a bed quilt). I hope by Monday or Tuesday, I'll be ready to start quilting. Until then, I'll be practicing my FMQ on my little squares. Maybe I'll put up a pic of that tomorrow.

Oh wow, who'd a thunk that the foot would make that much difference?? Glad you've got the problem resolved and are rarin' to go. Good luck....I hope you enjoy this a lot more!
Yes, I don't think I'd go back to the place that gave you bum advice/service anymore either. I hate when that happens.
I am so pleased for you!!! ♥
This quilt is just SO gorgeous, Wendy! The sense of movement is really wonderful.
