This coming 19th is the February Friday Night Sew-In. I'm psyched. I've been working like a dog, trying to finish up things. But no matter how hard I try or how much I get done, there always seems to be more waiting. But, I've got a brand new project I've been dying to sink my teeth into: Presidents' Day String Thing Challenge. Yeah, I know Presidents' Day is over. But, the challenge is still on. That's what I'll be working on.
In a sad moment, other news today brought word of the death of Dick Francis, mystery writer. I'm actually quite sad about this. He was one of my favorite authors and I have several First Edition books of his. This picture is from his Home Page. RIP Dick. You WILL be missed.
And this was our weather today. There's a mountain there, somewhere. It's still a novel thing for us to not get so much snow, so when it actually DOES snow, we still like it.

RIP, Dick Francis. I really enjoy reading his books.
Wendy, it's in my mind join the Friday Night Sew In on my own, not joining up since I don't have a blog. But I'll see how tired I am on Friday evening-and how cold my sewing room is, the coldest room in the house. I'm immersed in designing iris and leaves behind a stone wall, all in 12" x 12" (should be easy but the leaves look awkward no matter what I do), but would love to start my Amish Liberated project on Friday night. I forgot to say that I also was sad to hear about Dick Francis; I've always enjoyed his mysteries and wish I could look forward to more to them on the shelves. Kathleen C
My father is a great Dick Francis fan and although it's not my thing, I grew up with them in the bookshelves. He shall be missed.
