Is it Morning Already?

Last night just ... well, I don't know what last night did; I was asleep!  It was morning awfully quick, though.

But, I'm sure you're not here to read about how I slept.  Let's see.  How about a pic of yesterday's FMQ?  LOL, I'm not sure what I was quilting there.  It kinda looks like an Octopus arm.  Or a fiddlehead that's opening up.  Just practice anyway.  Decent McTavishing.  It's funny how you can look at this and it sometimes looks like the big pattern is indented.  At least to me.

And speaking of McTavishing, take a look at my last post about a challenge with a couple prizes.  We've got a  couple gluttons for punishment  challenge participants already.

Here's what I've been working on with my Prairie Children Quilt.  This first picture began as McTavishing, but I decided I liked the open leaf look much better in this case.  It reminds me of the vines that hang from trees in the woods.

And these are my Dandelion leaves.  Aren't they fun?

Right now I'm unquilting a bit of quilted to fix a problem in the backing.  Ahem.  Make SURE all your pins go through all layers!

Quilting Masterclass: Inspirations and Techniques from the ExpertsAnd look at the surprise I got in the mail!  I don't remember ordering this.  I remember talking about it, putting it on my wish list, but not ordering it.  Anyway, it's quite full of great quilts and quotes from the creators.  Most of the advice on technique seems to be on what the creator was trying to achieve with that specific quilt.  If you're clever, as we all are, then you can apply those techniques to your own quilt.

Hmmmm.  Maybe I should go see what else I've ordered and don't remember!
