Liberated Amish Quilt

The center panel is finished.  Tomorrow I will attach the 3 inner borders and start on the letters.  I want it to say "Faith", "Hope" and "Charity" on a wide border.  I've never made letters before, so it may end up as just "Faith".  We'll see.

Since I just finished a quilt, you know what today was, right?  Scrap bin day.  I got a healthy start.  I'm not sure how it filled in the span of time it took to do one quilt, but it did.  Most of the scraps have NOTHING to do with the quilt I made, so ....?

Also reorganized The Loft today.  Didn't like it, so put it back almost the same as it was.  The first way, I moved my machine off the antique card table it sits on (I worry about gouges) and put it on the sewing cabinet of my antique machine.  I put an old ironing board behind it to give room for big quilts to move into as I quilt.  I put the other ironing board beside it for the same reason.  It looked pretty darned trashy, let me tell you.  This summer, I'll try making tables and cabinets for that.  But, till then, the old set up worked and "why change what ain't broke", right?
