Of course, if I could learn how to take square pictures of my blocks, I'm sure it would help. Somehow, that seems to be too difficult. This will be sewn into panels and then the panels will be quilted.
This next pic is a variation of the log cabin star. It's in panels already, waiting its turn to be quilted. See the ridge I put around the blue? And those light fabrics? Men's pajamas, shirts and other scraps. We had a shirt maker recently retire and she gave all her fabrics to my neighbor who in turn passed them on to me. I think there are a few sheets pieces in here, too. There are also a couple bought fabrics here (golds), to add a little depth. I so love this quilt. I can't wait for it to be finished. Selling it might be hard. Right now, it's hanging over the railing in the stairwell so I can see it everytime I wander up into my loft.
If I don't get back on before the Christmas holiday, Merry Christmas. And to those of you who don't celebrate Christmas, Happy Holidays! Mom, Happy Hannukah.
