Where's our summer??? My poor kitties are in shock! Here they thought they'd get to spend the summer on the deck and it's too cold and windy. Often when I open the back door, they don't even go out!
Well, we'll have quilts to keep us warm! Oh boy, will we! I was able to do a small amount on the Kaleidoscope quilt. A little each day or so ought to finish it in no time. I DID decide to give it an all over design instead of something different in the sashing. You'll only get pics of the progress on that when I don't have anything else to show (or it's finished).
I finished the squiggle lines in the Amish quilt. Aren't they just the cutest things?!? I actually giggled all the way through this. And here's the back. I don't think I'll outline the blocks, but that remains to be seen. I'm on to the dogwood blossoms now. I still have no idea what I'll do in the wide borders yet. The narrow will get stitched with circles or braids.
Been doing a little on the embroidery for Mom's quilt. Here's one block.
I also cut out all the colored blocks for my Spanish Steps qult. I started with the blues that I knew I wanted in the quilt. Then, when I'd finished those, I realized that over 2/3 of the blocks would be blue. So, I just finished in blue. Why fight it? I think I'll make another one someday in multi colors. I'll post pics of some blocks tomorrow after I sew a few.
Back up to The Loft.

Love the squiggles!!
And it's cold and rainy here. Still. We're not even gonna get up to 60* today. Brrr indeed!
Your Amish quilt is looking good. That squiggle is fun to do, isn't it?
And your embroidery is so nice! I can't embroider anymore, but I do appreciate it.
