Squishies in the Mail!

Squishies!  Yay!  These are two I got Saturday.  The first is the prize I won from Rana's Give-Away.  Stunning fabric, isn't it?  Love that bear, too!  I have quite a few things on my plate, so it may take some time to get to this.

I also got my package of Laurel Burch goodies from Over the Rainbow.  I've love Laurel Burch ever since I bought my first coffee cup of hers over 20 years ago.  I want to do log cabins around those horse blocks!

Yesterday was International Quilting Day and I got quite a bit done.  I worked on and finished the layout for Prairie Children.  Er, believe me when I say it'll look much better once sewn and quilted.

I also made a block from the Ugly FQ swap.  I think I'll try another, that gold is just a bit bright.  It's the "Ugly" fabric (striped fake selvage print) that's supposed to be the focus fabric.

Then I began laying in the Ocean Waves blocks into the background (black won, btw, but it'll have a burgandy border as a compromise).  Just got the center square done.

I'm not sure I showed you the little blue quilt I've been working on, too.  I'm still working on putting in tendrils.  Yesterday, I also finished cutting out leaves to audition with my newest art quilt, but I don't like them, so back to the drawing board. These are part of the class I'm taking from Debbie.  She's very tood and very patient.  She's also getting ready for her next class group, so get over there and sign up!

And that was the day for sewing.

You know, I forgot to tell you I had a friend visit Friday.  Cherie from our writing group came by for supper and some of Vince's special gourmet pizza.  We played cribbage and watched Spiderman III.  What fun!

You got a lot done at the retreat yesterday! I'm liking your Prairie Children, and the Lib Amish is looking good too. That's an impressive block!

I LOVE that Laurel Burch horse fabric. I'm not really a horse person, but it calls to me. I'm gonna have to get some of that, I guess.

Your art quilts are amazing! Just beautiful.
